Being in a Muslim country we were not permitted a Christmas holiday so we took a much needed trip during Dubai’s Eid break (Eid Al Adha). This holiday provided us with an extra long weekend and we have been looking forward to our camping trip to the Musamdam Peninsula in Oman for a long time. The Musandam Peninsula is the northernmost part of Oman jutting out into the Strait of Hormuz at the entrance to the Persian Gulf. The Musandam is divided into four wilayats: Khasab, Bhuka, Dibba and Mudha.
