Looe

My last day was spent in Looe.  We had breakfast on a patio surrounded by beautiful flowers.  I tried the famous scone and clotted cream only to regret not having eaten it everyday on this trip.  It was SO tasty!  Even now writing about it makes my mouth water…. I’ve lost my train of thought.  The first and last pictures above have had photoshop settings added.

Mount Edgcumbe House

We took the Cremyll Ferry from Plymouth to Cornwall to visit Mount Edgcumbe House.   We arrived too late to join the tour but we enjoyed having tea at the Orangery restaurant and walking around the grounds.  Afterwards we visited a scary looking old hotel and had a tour of the rooms.  Everything looks prettiest after the rain.

Eden Project

A must do tourist attraction in the UK is the Eden Project which is an outdoor garden and two covered Biomes.  The first Biome is Tropical and the second is Mediterranean.  We all took advantage of the Macro setting on our cameras.

Hiking the Coast Path

It was another beautiful day in Cornwall.  We hiked the well-marked South West Coast Path through dense forest and eventually the trail opened up to views of the coast and Rame Peninsula.  At the top of Rame Head we saw the ruined chapel of St. Michael.  Now time to recharge with a snack in the garden.
