Seeking a swiming hole

Making it through the wadis was challenging and we had to leave a vehicle behind in order to make it though to the first wadi pool. The first pool was full of people and we thankfully were given some local advice/directions to another wadi pool which was located much further into the mountains. It was definitely worth the journey! We had the wadi pool all to ourselves and two men of an undisclosed ethnicity who were hilariously under the influence.

On our way to explore more

Not quite ready to go home, we decided to try to find wadi pools which we have heard of but never seen. Through wadis and small towns we soaked up the views with the hope we would soon be lazing in refreshing wadi pools.

Wadi Wurayah

Happy that the hot weather had not yet stopped us from camping we toured through the Fujairah Wadis to enjoy the last days of camping before the summer heat.
"Watch out, Scorpion!"
"I’m not going to fall for that Marwan."
"No, really! Right behind you!"
In hindsight I think Marwan, the animal lover, was more likely concerned about the scorpion being crushed than me being bit.
After searching for a perfect spot to set up camp we found that we were not the only one who thought it was a nice place to settle in.
