This picture was taken on the way to one of my favourite places on the planet . . . . I was in a golf cart when it was taken so it looks blury - I like it that way.

Watching the sunset and having dinner with Barry to celebrate our anniversary. At times it's still surreal being in Dubai; and looking at the Burj Al Arab from the top of Jumeriah Beach Resort was one of those times.

Jumeirah Madinat At Night

In September, 2006 I blogged pictures of Jumeirah Madinat during the day. This place is just as beautiful at night. Walking amongst these very interesting traditional-eske buildings is beautiful. The area is full of restaurants and shops which are open late and the smell of Sheisha is wafting from everywhere. Jumeirah Madinat

We visited the very popular Madinat Souk area. This area consists of restaurants, bars, clubs and shopping areas. The views of the Burj Al Arab are spectacular from here. Since its Ramadan the restaurants were closed for the afternoon but as soon as the sunsets this place will be bustling with people for Iftar. Hello Burj Al Arab

Hello Burj ~ We’ve finally got a place to live. So we decided to take some time out from house finding and furniture shopping to finally meet the Burj Al Arab up close and personal. It was pretty surreal to see this with our own eyes.
