Hiking the Coast Path

It was another beautiful day in Cornwall.  We hiked the well-marked South West Coast Path through dense forest and eventually the trail opened up to views of the coast and Rame Peninsula.  At the top of Rame Head we saw the ruined chapel of St. Michael.  Now time to recharge with a snack in the garden.

We had beautiful weather to walk around and enjoy the sights of the Cornwall area.  We enjoyed the sun while sipping our coffee outside waterside cafes; we visited art galleries and appreciated the quaint village buildings.

Making the most of a business trip

I made the best out of a business trip to London by extending my time to visit a friend.  After a week in the head office I took a train from Paddington Station to Plymouth where I could start a well-deserved break and breathe fresh country air.

Spending time

Spending time with family is always enjoyable and when you live far away from them the time spent is even more special. Our visit was busy with horses, throwing rocks into the creek, dandelions, mud pies, trampoline jumping, slides, monkey bars, pancake breakfasts, parades, snails, frogs and shopping.

Rocky Mountains

Road trip! We were fortunate to be able to spend some time touring the Rocky Mountains with our parents. The weather wasn’t always warm but the cozy B and Bs made up for the chilly wet weather. We saw at least six bears in total and one was a brown bear.

We will miss you

Living in Dubai means saying goodbye to expat friends who inevitably go home (or somewhere else). We will miss you Robyn! We will also miss wigs, home cooked food, coffee, champagne and general scheming.
